Parte I: Para chegar em Oxford
A maneira mais rápida de chegar a Oxford é voar para o aeroporto de Heathrow e pegar o serviço de ônibus direto para Oxford. A viagem dura 80 minutos (sujeita às condições de tráfego), com passagens só de ida a £23 e passagens de ida e volta a £30. Se você estiver voar para o aeroporto de Gatwick, também pode pegar o serviço de ônibus direto para Oxford. A viagem dura de 2 a 2 horas e meia (sujeita às condições de tráfego), com passagens só de ida a £28 e passagens de ida e volta a £37. Se você planeja passar um tempo em Londres antes da conferência ou se decidir pegar o trem da Europa continental, pode chegar a Oxford de trem (serviços regulares disponíveis nas estações Paddington e Marylebone, com duração de aproximadamente 1 hora, com passagens de ida e volta ou só de ida custando mais ou menos o mesmo, por volta de £30) ou de ônibus (via serviço de ônibus chamado Oxford Tube, levando aproximadamente duas horas, com passagens de ida a £9 e passagens de ida e volta por £15).
Parte II: Estadia em Oxford
As acomodações em Oxford podem ser muito caras, por isso tentamos encontrar alguns quartos de estudantes disponíveis durante a nossa conferência. Todos os quartos são para ocupação individual e não-fumantes, não-suítes com banheiros compartilhados no St Peter’s College (onde ocorrerá a conferência), a £50 por noite (inclui café da manhã continental). Estamos em processo de tentar confirmar quartos com suíte no St. Hugh’s College (a 15 minutos de St. Peter’s, com café da manhã, cerca de £70 a confirmar) e Exeter College (a 3 minutos de St. Peter’s, sem café da manhã, £77). A disponibilidade por enquanto está pendente e os quartos seriam reservados e pagos diretamente ao college.
Parte III: Em Oxford
É altamente recomendável que você reserve um tempo durante a sua estadia em Oxford para fazer passeios pela cidade. Alguns pontos de interesse incluem a Radcliffe Square, de onde se pode facilmente caminhar até a University Church of St Mary the Virgin (que oferece vistas panorâmicas de Oxford de sua torre), o Sheldonian Theatre e a Old Bodleian Library (excursões podem ser organizadas através de https://visit.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/tours). Section I: Arriving in Oxford
The fastest way to reach Oxford is to fly into Heathrow Airport and take the direct bus service to Oxford. The trip takes 80 minutes (subject to traffic conditions), with one-way tickets costing £23 and return tickets costing £30. If you are flying into Gatwick Airport, you can also take the direct bus service to Oxford. The trip takes 2–2hrs30min (subject to traffic conditions), with one-way tickets costing £28 and return tickets £37. If you plan to spend time in London before the conference or if you decide to take the train from mainland Europe, you can reach Oxford either by train (regular services available from Paddington Station and Marylebone Station, taking approximately 1hr, with both one-way and return tickets costing between £28–£30) or by bus (via the Oxford Tube service, taking approximately 2hrs, with one-way tickets costing £9 and return tickets £15).
Section II: Staying in Oxford
Accommodation in Oxford can be very expensive, so we have tried to find some student rooms that are available during our conference. All rooms are single occupancy and non-smoking. You will be able to book these rooms via the registration form.
Option 1: Student accommodation with shared facilities at St Peter’s College, £50 per night (includes continental breakfast). The conference is taking place at St Peter’s. [40 rooms available]
Option 2: We are in the process of securing student accommodation with ensuite facilities at St Hugh’s College (approx. 15 minutes walk from St Peter’s) and Exeter College (approx. 3 minutes walk from St Peter’s). Whilst availability is still pending, the rooms are likely to cost around £70 per night (St Hugh’s) and £77 (Exeter, where breakfast is not included), with reservations and payments being made directly to the college.

If you choose to stay in London and commute to Oxford, please see information in Section I. Please bear in mind that at rush hour traffic can cause serious delays.
If you are interested in Options 1 or 2, you must confirm this with us by 1 February. We will need to know which nights you require accommodation (19, 20, 21, 22).
Section III: Your Time in Oxford
We highly encourage you to take some time, during your stay in Oxford, to do some sightseeing around the city. Some points of interest include the Radcliffe Square, where you can easily walk to the University Church of St Mary the Virgin (which offers panoramic views of Oxford from its tower), the Sheldonian Theatre, and the Old Bodleian Library (tours can be arranged via https://visit.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/tours). Many Oxford colleges allow visitors during the day (opening hours vary from college to college) for a small fee. We recommend visits to Balliol College, founded in 1263 and said to be one of the oldest, if not the first, Oxford college, and Christ Church College, founded in 1546 and the filming location of Harry Potter. Please be mindful that the centre of Oxford is small and everything is easily within reach by foot.
